Hi there Sketchbookers!

It’s been an exciting week at Art House HQ — we just launched our brand new project, the Sketchbook Project Limited Edition Vol. 1! Open to just 5,000 participating artists, the Limited Edition is an experiment inspired by the Sketchbook Project. Every contributor to the Limited Edition Vol. 1 will be included in a series of art books documenting the project and exhibited at the Brooklyn Art Library. Take a look!

With all the creativity flying around the Web this past week, we’ve got an amazing array of updates from Sketchbook Project participants all over the world. Here are some of our favorites:

First off, November is Art Every Day Month and lots of Sketchbook Project participants are rising to the challenge. We were first clued in by Amy McCarter, who blogs about creativity and healing at Surviving the Day Every Day and is currently working on her “Treehouse” book. Thanks for sharing, Amy!

Very pretty work over here by Jannese aka Crafty Love. Her sketchbook is being transformed into a zine of sorts, called Journal of Stars.

Heidi Richardson Evans — aka the inspiring blogger Daisybones — has been working through a difficult time with her sketchbook by her side. We’re touched by her honesty and excited to see what she creates next.

Illustratir Rubin Pingk has been drawing on full-size bristol which he plans to cut down and rebind inside his sketchbook. He just uploaded his first creepy crawly new spread — nice work, Rubin!

And last but certainly not least, we stumbled across Australian graphic designer Scratchyas’ brilliant exploration of the “Sandwich” theme. We love the South Sandwich Islands pop-up spread — complete with hungry penguins!

Have you come across other great Sketchbook Project updates from the Web? Please let us know in the comments!

Till soon -
